My background is trauma and critical care/ intensive care nursing, with significant experience in military settings. Some of the military institutions I have worked in include: the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, Birmingham, and the British Army in Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo and Africa. I have also held intensive care positions at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, James Cook University Hospital, and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.

My research interests are organ dysfunction in trauma and end-of-life care in critical care.
