C4TS student researcher wins prestigious scholarship

July 28, 2016

Congratulations are due to one of our C4TS researchers Rashi Jhunjhunwala who has been awarded a prestigious scholarship to attend the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) annual general meeting and clinical congress in Hawaii in September.

The AAST Scholarship provides promising young medical students from around the world with the chance to meet clinicians and researchers in the premiere academic trauma organisation.

Rashi Jhunjhunwala is a 4th year medical student at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, who has spent the past year in London studying for a Masters Degree in Bioethics and simultaneously pursuing research opportunities with C4TS and the Royal London Hospital.

Professor Susan Brundage, C4TS Professor of Trauma Education, sponsored Rashi’s application. “The Centre is fortunate to attract many outstanding students to help us with our research, and we look forward to supporting Rashi as she progresses through her last year of medical school and moves into her surgical training. We expect Rashi to have a dynamic and exciting surgical career ahead of her”'
