Pan London Trauma Symposium to be held 14 December

The first Pan London Major Trauma Symposium will be held on 14 December 2016, at the Royal Geographical Society. The symposium will showcase the achievements, innovation, research and future plans of the Pan London Major Trauma System

The day is open to all trauma interested clinicians, nurses, therapists, paramedics and more.

The programme will include talks and presentations on:

  • The Pan London Major Trauma System – our activity, strengths and future plans
  • Pan London Mass Casualty plans and the terrorist threat response
  • The burden of TBI in London – what we know and what we are doing about it   
  • The role of trauma units at the heart of an inclusive system
  • Elderly trauma: standards of care for our fastest growing patient group                
  • The increasing prevalence of violent trauma across the region – clinical considerations and prevention initiatives
  • Londons Air Ambulance: inspirational cases and future innovations
  • The ‘theory vs. reality’ of trauma rehabilitation in London
