Barts and the London Charity have launched an appeal to raise money for the Centre for Trauma Sciences (C4TS). The aim of the appeal is to help C4TS take the next step in our understanding of traumatic injury, to put more research into practice, and to save more lives, worldwide.
Traumatic injury is by far the biggest killer of children and young adults.
Barts Health NHS Trust is home to the busiest trauma centre in the UK. The team are leading the way in developments to reduce the often disastrous after-effects for trauma survivors – including disability and organ failure.
The appeal is seeking community support to fund ground-breaking research that is needed to make the advances within traumatic injury that will reduce fatalities and improve long term recovery from injury.
