The multidisciplinary, multispecialty Pan London Paediatric Trauma Specialty group is chaired by Dr Naomi Edmonds (Consultant in Paediatric Critical Care at the Royal London Hospital). The group meets bi-annually to discuss paediatric care and innovation, and review clinical cases.

Paediatric Trauma Care Guidelines
Trauma is the leading cause of death and disability for children and adolescents. Timely, expert care is essential to ensure optimal recovery after paediatric injuries. The pan London paediatric trauma group comprises multi-disciplinary professionals with expertise in caring for injured children and their families. This collaborative guidance document and more detailed trauma manual are available to anyone managing paediatric trauma across greater London.

Pan London Paediatric Trauma Therapies and Play Group
The Pan London Paediatric Trauma Therapies and Play Group was established in 2019 after recognition from the Medical Pan Thames Group that there was limited representation of rehabilitation clinicians or the pathways available for children after trauma.
This group meets quarterly at one of the Major Trauma Centres (MTC's) for a 3 hour meeting. Open membership from any acute therapy discipline, play team member and/or rehabilitation clinician seeing children after trauma is encouraged across the Pan Thames area. Meeting agenda changes to meet our agreed Terms of Reference, which include:
a) opportunities for sharing best practice and reflection through case study presentations, b) collaborative data collection across sites and c) long term projects addressing wider policy and/or clinical guidelines development.
