Risk stratification for patients with rib fractures
Patients with rib fractures and BCI are at risk of adverse outcomes including mortality, respiratory complications, infections and chronic pain. Some patient populations have an increased risk of these adverse outcomes therefore it is essential that trauma clinicians can assess and stratify risk in the early stages following injury and during the in-hospital stay.
