Critical Care Research Nurse

After qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2016 from King’s College, London, I spent six months working in an Adult Intensive Care Unit in a Major Trauma Centre here in London. Having previously qualified with a Masters in Journalism, my interests in critical care, trauma, research and evidence-based care lead me to joining the C4TS team in March 2017.

Working as a Critical Care Research Nurse for the Pan-London Trauma System is an exciting new role. We are currently working on an observational Pan-London study called Multiple-Organ Dysfunction in Elderly Trauma (MODET). We work across the four Major Trauma Centres in London recruiting patients for MODET with the aim of our research adding to the current evidence-base and improving care of elderly trauma patients in the future.

I am originally from the West of Ireland. I love to travel to new and exciting places. I previously spent a month travelling through Europe and over the years I have also spent a lot of time traveling through Ireland exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. I also love baking (and eating what I bake regardless of its edibleness) and spending time with friends and family.
