Dr Daniel Frith

Clinical Academic Lecturer

I am a General Surgical Registrar on the North East Thames Deanery Rotation, currently placed at Basildon Hospital.

I have a particular interest in the pathophysiology of Acute Traumatic Coagulopathy and massive transfusion.

I completed his PhD at the Centre for Trauma Sciences in December 2010 and was awarded (The Royal College of Surgeons) Enid Linder fellowship for this work.  My thesis was an investigation of the role of Activated Protein C in the pathophysiology of Acute Traumatic Coagulopathy. I was appointed Clinical Academic Lecturer by QMUL in 2010 and I continue basic and clinical research into the mechanisms for impaired haemostasis during severe trauma-shock.
